Licorice root has a good reputation as being helpful for sensitive skin. Licorice root contains an active compound called "glabridin". Glabridin, a skin whitening ingredient. Glabridin works by inhibiting the production of melanin (the pigment that causes skin discoloration). One thing for certain is that licorice is safe for human consumption since it’s been used through the ages as a food additive around the world.

Ylang Ylang

Ylang Ylang is a tree native to Asia and essential oil from its flower is a key natural ingredient used in luxury perfumes like Chanel No.5! Traditionally Ylang Ylang essential oil has been applied to the skin to preserve the youthful glow, prevent signs of aging and to prevent skin irritation.

Rose

Containing a complex array of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, rose essential oil is an excellent moisturizer. Research shows rose oil exhibits strong batericidal activities, which makes it a great ingredient for acne prone skin. It also is known to calm and sooth the skin. Rose petal poweder is great gentle exfoliator for the skin.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus is a natural source of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), an ingredient that is known to help exfoliate, control oily skin and clogged pores, all of which can encourage fresher, younger, and smoother looking skin. Hibiscus also increases moisture of your skin resulting in the increased firmness, giving hibiscus the nickname, the “Botox plant”.
